What is Site Build It! (SBI!) and how can it help you make money online?
(And is it any good? And who should use SBI!? And who shouldn't bother?)
Hmm, great questions, all of them!
...Basically, Site Build It! (SBI!) is all the tools and resources you'll need (yes, that includes web hosting too) to create a website that WORKS -- together with complete step-by-step instructions (known as Site Build It Action Guide).
Look at that expression again: 'A website that WORKS.'
Most websites simply don't work - i.e. they just don't get noticed, and when they do visitors often don't stay long. And why would they when most sites just try to sell to them straight away!
People are usually looking for information, and if they want to buy something they're usually looking for someone who knows what they're talking about to recommend to them a suitable product or service.
SBI! allows you - whether you're a beginner or a site-building expert - to build the kind of content-heavy website people are looking for!
SBI! can be used by anyone. But there are certain types of people that will have problems with Site Build It!, and I shall discuss why this is so below!

Why Does SBI! Work?
SBI! works because it offers a comprehensive set of technical solutions that can be used by the non-technical (see below). You simply combine your BAM (brain and motivation) with the CTPM process (Content, Traffic, PRE-sell, Monetize) and do it step-by-step according to the SBI! Action Guide. (All key concepts like CTPM, BAM etc. are explained in the Action Guide, by the way!)
SBI! also works because it quite literally empowers people to make the most of themselves, their skills and their knowledge.
Also, Dr Ken Evoy and his company SiteSell listen to SBIers (SBI! users), and encourage feedback. He then acts on that feedback to make the improvements to SBI! that SBIers want to see. (If you're thinking that this is what Microsoft does, then - erm! - no, I think you're mistaken, and very few web hosting companies (if any) are bothered about your website once you've paid your hosting fees!)

You probably know this but, all websites have to exist
somewhere on the web. This is known as hosting, or web hosting. If
you ever want to run your own site you will have to get it hosted somewhere. Hosting
can be free, but this is not advised for sites that are seriously trying to make
money.

Again, you do not need SBI! to succeed.

So who is SBI! for?
Do you think you could create one of the SBI! example sites above?
All
it needs is some application, a bit of belief, conviction
and determination - a bit of a, b, c, d you might say. Yes, SBI! is
a step-by-step way to earning an extra income, or even to running your own successful
business online.
But SBI! is a difficult concept to explain. I know.
I've had my first SBI! site since 2001, and I don't completely understand everything
Site Build It! can do, even now!
Anyway... I still believe SBI! is suitable for nearly everyone, from beginner to expert alike.
(And I think expert web builders and professional SEOers would really appreciate the power of Brainstorm It! - the keyword research tool that is unsurpassed on the web!)
So who is SBI NOT for?
Or, what are the problems with SBI!?
There are some people that will not like using Site Build It!. Those people who are impatient for success come to mind - never-ending followers of get-rich-quick schemes - and those that cannot follow instructions or simply 'know better'. But Site Build It! does have some technical limitations, too (and there is no FTP or access to Perl/CGI programs), so if you're looking to build an all-singing, all-dancing website then you may want to spend the thousands you'll need elsewhere.
One gripe I have is SBI!'s block-by-block builder - the SBI! site building tool that lets beginners build SBI! sites.
The Block Builder is a bit clunky, and slow (especially if you don't use the Firefox web browser). I have never used this Block Builder, ever, for those reasons! It would be far too slow for me to build a web page, and it might be too slow for you, too. But SiteSell are always improving Block Builder and it is a great way for beginners to start building their website - and many transition to building their pages using Dreamweaver, or another site building tool, eventually. (You need to learn HTML to do this. And some are happy doing so, as I was in 1998 before SBI! even existed, whilst others are happy to continue using Block Builder.)
So, as I said, SBI! is not for everyone. (Note: you can always get a full refund in the first 30 days, and a pro rata refund after that, if you find SBI! is not for you.)
And not everyone who uses SBI! succeeds, either...

Most people who don't succeed with SBI! or who don't at least earn an extra
income probably don't follow the SBI! instructions properly, or they simply don't
believe they can succeed. Think about it, how easy is it to climb that steep wall,
say, if you genuinely do not believe you can climb it. As soon as you feel your
foot slipping, off you fall and you shout "See! I told you I couldn't climb
it!" But if you knew you could climb it, well I'm betting that you'd
climb it sooner or later. If you put your faith in SBI! and in yourself, I think
you will be pleasantly surprised by the results....

And some people just want to do it their own way, as it's quicker (but it's much less likely to succeed).
So, yes this webiste, Build Promote Profit TIPS, is NOT built using Site Build It!. (Internet marketing sites do not make good SBI! sites, in truth - too much competition!)
However, my Self Help Collective Website is a Site Build It! example that's doing great in its first year online (300+ unique visitors per day).
How much does Site Build It cost?
SBI! sites cost US$299 per year, paid in advance.
This works out to be $25 per month, which seems a lot if you think only in terms of web hosting (SBI! is more than a web host as I've already explained above), but when you consider that Site Build It! offers pretty much every online tool you'll need to build a web site that works then it's actually money well spent, in my humble opinion.

You are right to be cautious...
You are right to be cautious. (It needed repeating! ;-) .)
There are many many scams out there, or products/services that really don't help you that much (they're only trying to get you to buy more products and services, say).
I was extremely cautious before I bought a product from Ken Evoy's company Sitesell.com (I bought Make Your Words Sell in 2000, I think!). I took the risk and decided to trust Ken. And now I feel very pleased with 1) my caution (I saved hundreds of dollars on needless courses) and 2) my choice (I chose Ken Evoy and Sitesell).
So, do be cautious. There are no guarantees online or offline.

Bottom line?
I have no hesitation in recommending Site Build It! to you, my friends and family, or anyone, as I really believe it's a great way to build a site that works.(The Brainstorm It! tool is worth cost of admission on its own, in my opinion.)
Yes, I believe that SBI! is a great way for anyone - almost anyone (see 'Who is SBI! not for', above) - to earn an extra income online, I really do. I believe the only real question you should now have is this one: which SBI! do I want?
